첫 번째 추천곡은 밴드 시카고^Chicago의 Saturday In The Park입니다.

시카고는 정말 명곡이 너무 많지만, 이 곡은 제가 시카고의 곡 중에서 가장 좋아하는 곡 Top5 안에는 무조건 들어가는 곡입니다.

가사 중에 "I think it was the Fourth of July"라는 구절이 반복되는데, 가사처럼 이 곡은 (1970년) 7월 4일 토요일에 센트럴 파크에서 겪은 경험을 바탕으로 만든 곡입니다.

그런데 마침 올해의 7월 4일도 토요일입니다.

바로 다음 주 토요일입니다.

저는 다음 주 토요일에 무조건 어딘가 공원에 가서 이 곡을 반복해서 들을 예정입니다. 😌

두 번째 추천곡은 카펜터스^{The Carpenters}의 Saturday입니다.

카펜터스의 곡은 대부분 동생인 캐런 카펜터^{Karen Carpenter}가 부르지만, 이 곡은 드물게 오빠인 리처드 카펜터^{Richard Carpenter}가 불렀습니다.

이 곡은 길이가 1분 20초밖에 되지 않는 굉장히 짧은 곡입니다.

그런데 곡이 너무 좋습니다.

'왜 곡이 이렇게 짧을까, 훨씬 더 길어도 되는데..'라는 생각이 드는, 러닝타임이 짧아서 아쉬운 곡입니다.

마지막 추천곡은 영국의 록 & 브릿팝 밴드 스웨이드^suede의 Saturday Night 입니다.

이 곡은 개인적으로 제가 고3 때 유난히 많이 들어서, 듣기만 하면 그 시절이 떠오릅니다.

먼저 소개했던 두 곡들과는 달리 이 곡은 쓸쓸한 느낌이 드는데요,

뮤직비디오에서도 그 토요일 밤의 쓸쓸한 분위기를 잘 표현하고 있습니다.

그래서 뮤직비디오 영상으로 가져오고 싶었는데, 뮤직비디오 영상은 유난히 볼륨이 작아서 그냥 여기서는 오디오 영상으로 올립니다.

곡이 마음에 드신 분들은 뮤직비디오는 따로 찾아서 보시는 걸로.. 😌
